Golden State is coming off of another Christmas day classic where they fell to the Lakers 115 - 113. Stephen Curry hit a clutch 3-pointer from 30 feet to tie the game with seven seconds on the clock only to lose to an Austin Reeves layup with one second left.
Curry hit eight three pointers and scored 38 points with six assists in the loss and currently leads the team averaging 22.5 points, 6.5 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game followed by Andrew Wiggins who averages 17.5 points per game with 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
Draymond Green, who received his eighth technical foul against the Lakers and is already half way to his mandatory one-game suspension, is averaging 6.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game to go along with his 8.5 points per game and is still a force on the defensive end.
The Warriors are 3 - 7 over their last 10 games and are ranked 13th in the ESPN NBA Power Index 2024-25.
Some quick trends:
Los Angeles is 17 - 13 this season and are currently tied for 6th place in the Western Conference with the Lakers, 7.5 games back of the conference leading Thunder.
The Clippers last played on Monday night in a win against the Memphis Grizzlies 114 - 110. Norman Powell had 29 points with three rebounds and two assists to lead the team along with James Harden who put in 21 points with eight rebounds and nine assists.
The Clippers have won 4 of their last 5 games and are ranked 15th in the ESPN NBA Power Index 2024-25.
Some quick trends:
In spite of their performance on Christmas day, where you know Curry is going to be amped to play Lebron, the Warriors have been struggling mightily over their last 10 games and coming off of a deflating loss on the national stage may lead to a bit of a hangover here.

This line opened at Clippers -1.5 yesterday (DK) and quickly climbed up to the -4.5 where it sits now. The Clippers are the better team right now and even though my Rithmm models are showing a caution sign here, there's a good chance this is going to land on the right side. The 90% bet splits have the Clippers covering easily and I'm comfortable with this model's 52.1% win probability.
I'll be taking the Clippers -4.5 here.
