Dallas comes into tonight's game with a 5 - 6 record and currently sit in 4th place, 2.5 games back of the Southwest leader Houston Rockets. Dallas played on Tuesday and lost a close one to Golden State 120 - 117.

The Mavericks, as always, are led by super-stars Luka Doncic who is averaging 28.5 points per game this season to go along with his 8.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists and Kyrie Irving who has 25.2 points per game with 4.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists, though Irving is now listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.

Joining the Mavs this season is All-Star Klay Thompson who has been playing 30.5 minutes and averaging 14.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game on the season.

The Mavericks are ranked 9th in the ESPN Power Index for 2024.

Jazz Preview

Utah lost their first six games of the season but have 2 - 3 in their last five games and are coming off of a loss on Tuesday to the Phoenix Suns 120 - 112. The Jazz are currently 2 - 8 on the young season and sit in last place, 7 games back of OKC.

The Jazz have five players averaging double digits in points led by John Collins and his 17.1 points per game while having only started in one of the ten games played this season. That shows the lack of potency this Jazz offense has and they will need a lot more production tonight to keep up with this Mavs offense.

The Jazz are ranked 30th in the ESPN Power Index for 2024.

How I Used Rithmm Models for my Mavericks vs Jazz AI Prediction

With the possibility of Kyrie sitting and the Jazz lacking in points per game, there is a good chance that this game could go under. But I'm not a fan of that choice tonight.

While the money is pretty heavy to the under with a 63% bet split, it has been dipping a bit in the last few hours. My model is pretty happy with this earlier in the day but as the day has progressed, it likes it a lot less and I'm getting a warning sign. One of the many great features of the Rithmm app!

It sounds crazy, but I'm liking the Jazz to cover this tonight. At this spread this does seem to be a good opportunity for the Jazz to keep it close. I don't expect them to win, but I do believe, as the model does, that they can get us a win tonight.
